TERMS & CONDITIONS

  • This competition runs from 16 January 2024 on YOUFM - weekdays between 12:00 - 03:00 PM on Midday Boost With Mashél
  • For a chance to participate on-air, you need to enter on the YOU CONNECT APP and enter your details when prompted.
  • Send the words "Challenge Accepted" on the relevant competition channel
  • YOUFM will randomly select an entry from the YOU CONNECT APP, and the participant will be phoned to play LAST WORD LIVE on-air.
  • The participants will be given 60 (sixty) seconds to create a sentences, with a verb and a give theme give on the day on air
  • Whichever participant creates a coherent sentence with a verb and maintaining the theme will win their share of R5 000.
  • Whoever wins on a particular day, moves on to play the next day with an amount of R200 for each day won until the end of that week (Friday).
  • Whoever wins on a particular day, they move onto the next day with a grand amount of R200 until they get the grand total of that week which is R1 000. If you lose somewhere during the week without winning on Friday, you lose the entire amount you've accumulated and whichever participant is against you will win an amount of R200 on that Friday.
  • The participant's personal information will be processed by YOU FM to validate their entry and if the participant is a prize winner, by YOU FM (where necessary) to make the prize available to the winner. By entering the competition, the participant consents to YOU FM processing his/her personal information for this purpose. If the participant does not consent, he/she must not enter the Competition. The judge's decision is final, and no further correspondence will be entered into.
  • The prize is not negotiable, and not transferrable and may not be exchanged for any other item. The sponsor of the prize namely the YOU FM (Motswako Media) however reserves the right to substitute the prize with any other prize of a similar commercial value.
  • A participant will not be able to win this competition if they have won a prize on YOU FM within the past 90 days, whether on-air, online or via any of Motswako Media's social media platforms.
  • If a winner chosen does not comply with these terms and conditions, their entry will be disqualified, and a new winner will be randomly drawn.
  • In the event that a winner cannot be successfully contacted, is ineligible to accept the prize, or contravenes the terms and conditions of this competition or of YOU FM, the prize will be forfeit.
  • If the winner agrees to it, YOU FM may publish their name and/or photo in any internal or external advertising or promotional material for 12 months from the date on which the winner accepts the Prize.
  • YOU FM will determine the nature and distribution of these materials. If a winner does not consent to the publication of their name and/or photo, the winner will still receive the prize.
  • No director or employee of Motswako Media, service providers, consultants and members of their immediate family; nor members, staff, partners, consultants of the sponsors of the competition, and/or any of its affiliated companies and/or agencies, and members of their immediate family, may enter this Competition.
  • YOU FM will not be held responsible for any SMS charges, data charges or phone costs incurred while participating in this competition.
  • YOU FM assume no risk and/or liability whatsoever for the failure of any technical element in the Competition which may result in a participant's entry not being successfully submitted and/or a winner not successfully receiving or taking up a prize.
  • Once a winner accepts a prize, such winner accepts such prize at his/her own risk.
  • YOU FM assumes no liability whatsoever for any direct or indirect loss, harm or damage which the participant or any third party may suffer as a result of their voluntary participation in the competition or accepting any prize awarded in the competition.
  • YOU FM reserves the right to cancel or amend the competition and these terms and conditions without notice. Any changes to the competition will be notified to participants as soon as possible by the promoter.
  • By entering this competition, a participant is indicating his/her agreement to be bound by these terms and conditions.
